Dr. Debra Clary is an award-winning author, researcher, keynote speaker, and first-time playwright whose work explores one deceptively simple question: What happens when we become curious? After more than three decades leading strategy, marketing, and organizational transformation for Fortune 50 companies including Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, Brown-Forman, and Humana, Debra founded The Clary Group, where she helps leaders and organizations build cultures driven by curiosity rather than certainty.
Debra is the author of the national bestselling book The Curiosity Curve, recipient of both the Axiom Business Book Gold Award and the Nonfiction Authors Association Gold Award. Her TEDx talk on curiosity has been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people, and her research has helped organizations around the world measure and strengthen curiosity as a driver of innovation, trust, and performance.
A Curious Woman marks Debra's return to the stage following its sold-out Off-Broadway debut. Blending storytelling, science, humor, and heartfelt reflection, the production invites audiences to laugh, question, and rediscover the power of wonder in a world increasingly defined by certainty. Debra believes curiosity is more than a leadership skill—it may be one of the greatest advantages we have for navigating change and staying deeply human.
Debra lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where she continues to write, speak, and occasionally asks far more questions than answers.
Jessica De La Rosa
DIRECTOR / PRODUCER / SCRIPT WRITER
Jessica De La Rosa (she/her/they) holds a BA in Theatre and an MFA in Acting, both from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
In the Summer of 2018, Louisville became Jess’ home after living in New York City, where she developed a studio practice in devising Shakespeare – coaching a range of ages from preschool students to Broadway performers.
As an actor in Louisville, she has worked with Actors Theatre, Stage One, Kentucky Shakespeare, WingSpace at Dreams With Wings, Commonwealth Theatre Center, three witches, Louisville Fringe Festival, SHOTZ!. Regionally, Jess has worked with Great River Shakespeare Festival, Chautauqua Theater Company, Clarence Brown Theatre, Reign Or Shine, Rogue and Peasant Players, among others. She also is an Adjunct Lecturer at IU Southeast, where she teaches in all areas of performance, as well as directs productions in the Ogle Center. Recent productions include The Spitfire Grill and The Glass Menagerie.
As an educator and behavioral therapist, Jess has taught all ages and abilities, using art as a bridge to unite neurodiverse demographics. She also proudly serves as the Creative Director at Dreams With Wings where she also is the facilitator and producer of WingSpace, where young actors with Down Syndrome and other intellectual/developmental disabilities collaborate in theatrical programs, classes, and performances. In addition to special demographic teaching, Jess runs her private studio JDLR Studio for Performing Arts, where actors of all ages and access needs can continue their study in storytelling, theatre, acting, and other topics.
Additionally, Jess previously served as the Learning and Creative Engagement Facilitator at Actors Theatre of Louisville, and is currently a Professional Coach with Mindset Collaborative, where she leads classes, seminars, and workshops in Leadership Development, Communication, Emotional Intelligence, and Presentation Skills.
